Devops Engineer (Dallas)

Insight Global is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join a leading financial institution in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of DevOps experience and will be able to showcase deep knowledge of AWS Infrastructure-as-Code. This role requires strong experience with Python and bash / shell scripting, build and pipeline management tools, creation and authoring of containerization and orchestration, DevOps automation tools, understanding of a Unix / Linux OS experience and sharp interpersonal communication skills. This is a collaborative role that requires 5 days onsite at our clients location in Dallas, TX or Salt Lake City, UT. You will be responsible for :

Joining a daily standup call with team to provide updates, gather requirements, discuss technical strategy, and plan platform roadmap as the firm continues to automate and improve the security posture of applications and services

Monitoring and managing GitLab CI in accordance to build, test, and deployment standards and best practices

Writing, maintaining, and providing support for CI / CD pipelines

Creating and authoring of containerization and orchestration

Debugging and troubleshooting issues within a Unix / Linux OS environment

Providing design and architecture advice as it relates to the firms AWS Infrastructure as Code environment

Acting as an internal consultant to peer engineers on strategic initiatives related to technology modernization and AWS cloud migration

Previous financial services experience

5+ years of DevOps experience

Strong expertise with Python programming and bash / shell scripting

Experience working in a Unix and / or Linux OS environment (RedHat or similar)

Experience utilizing GitLab CI and Jenkins as build and pipeline management tools

Experience creating and authoring containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure-as-code design and architecture (utilizing Terraform)

Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with global teammates / stakeholders
