Great company culture with room to grow. The Lead Installation Security Technician is primarily responsible for installing and replacing alarm, camera, and access systems. A desired candidate is fully confident in their installation and programming skills, works effectively and professionally with little supervision, has management and leadership ability with his team, excellent communication skills, and is consistently looking out for the customer's best interest.
Responsibilities
- Install security systems per provided job scopes and drawings
- Install and service access control systems
- Install and service IP based camera systems
- Install and service alarm systems
- Work efficiently as a lead technician on the team to install systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Communicate equipment issues and potential solutions to customers
- Explain and train customers on effective utilization of equipment and / or systems
- Update and complete customer files, including customer contacts, work orders, parts utilized, and work performed
- Respond to customer questions and concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Understand and maintain compliance with company and customer safety programs
- Maintain all applicable certifications for necessary products serviced by the company
- Lead, train, mentor and / or coach less experienced technicians
Requirements
Valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma / GED5+ years security technician work experienceCommercial experienceAble to work flexible hours including after-hours, nights, and weekendsAble to travel to multiple job sites each dayFully proficient in alarm, access control and IP camera systemsAccess control installation and servicing experience – knowledge in S2 and BrivoExperience with installation of controller, reader, contact, REX and electrified door hardwareCommercial alarm system installation & servicing experience – knowledge in Burg, DMP, Honeywell and DSC systems a plusCamera system installation & servicing experience, including network camera systems – knowledge in Exacq, Wave VMS a plusCAT5 / 6 network termination skillsHigh precision / detail-orientedProfessional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, with little supervisionAbility to lead a team on larger jobsWorks effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required jobAlarm Agent LicenseDPS Fingerprint CardPreferred
