Market Investigator – Dallas, TX
Reports to : Senior Regional Loss Prevention Manager.
Status : Exempt. Pay Range : $60,000 – $75,000 per year. Compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- 20% Initiate and develop external / ORC investigations through store-initiated Auror events, online marketplace review, inventory loss reporting, and supervisor requests, utilizing all available data sources. Create investigations in Auror crime intel platform as required.
- 20% Partner directly with law enforcement, retail LPs, and field teams on priority external investigations to ensure suspects are identified and prosecuted.
- 30% Utilize Auror to manage all external investigations, including identifying and tracking priority suspects and communicating with the appropriate law-enforcement and retail LP partners when necessary, and uploading and managing all evidence in the Auror evidence locker.
- 10% Conduct store-level training with store and field staff to safely mitigate external theft incidents, including training staff how to identify and report external theft incidents via company policies.
- 15% Utilize company CCTV systems to conduct external investigations, including active live surveillance, post-incident review, and saving footage for evidence.
- 5% Partner with cross-functional teams to work investigations as needed or assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Experience conducting interviews of subjects suspected of theft using industry-approved methods.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Loss Prevention roles responsible for external / ORC investigations, working with law enforcement, initiating and closing investigations, and basic use of CCTV and burglar alarm systems.Up to 10% travel to company locations and job-related training events.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Capability to establish functional relationships with both internal and external business partners and contacts.Competencies
