Senior Manager, Global Retail Planning
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid : 2–3 days onsite)
Reports to : VP, Global Sales & Planning
About the Role
A fast-growing prestige beauty brand is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Retail Planning to lead global retail performance through advanced forecasting, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making.
This individual will play a key role in shaping global retail strategy, driving sales consistency, and optimizing inventory across key international partners. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical acumen with deep retail planning experience in the beauty or consumer sector — someone who can turn insight into action and deliver excellence in execution.
Key Responsibilities
Global Retail Planning & Forecasting
- Own end-to-end retail planning and forecasting across global accounts, ensuring alignment between sales, shipment, and inventory targets.
- Build and maintain robust sales and shipment models by product and region to support a 24-month rolling forecast.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to synchronize forecasts, launches, and operational execution.Partner closely with global retail accounts (including Sephora and comparable partners) to drive accurate sell-in / sell-out planning, replenishment, and inventory flow.Performance Analysis & Insights
Analyze monthly performance vs. plan to identify trends, surface insights, and provide actionable recommendations.Support annual budget and target-setting processes through detailed forecasting by account and product category.Operational Execution
Manage order prioritization and shipment timing to balance global demand, product launches, and healthy stock levels.Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance accuracy, agility, and collaboration within the planning function.Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in Retail Planning, Sales Planning, or Demand Planning , preferably in the beauty, fashion, or CPG industries.Proven success managing Sephora or other global beauty retail partnerships.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, forecasting models).Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly and strategically.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain , or related field (MBA a plus).Based in Los Angeles area with ability to work 2–3 days per week onsite .Soft Skills & Culture Fit
