Your Responsibilities
Serve as the Collaborative Physician for the Behavioral Health Service Line.Provide daily morning consultations for adult psychiatric needs in the Emergency Department and inpatient units.Supervise and guide behavioral health clinicians, including psychiatric NPs and LCSWs.Oversee and support individualized care plans for behavioral health patients.Evaluate treatment plans for various psychiatric conditions, including PTSD and substance use disorders.Coordinate appropriate referrals for specialized psychiatric care.Document all patient care using the Cerner EMR system in compliance with NGH standards.Participate in team meetings and support hospital behavioral health policy development.Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure policy alignment and compliance with regulatory standards.Support Graduate Medical Education (GME) initiatives and psychiatric education efforts.Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABMS).Current and unrestricted Tennessee medical license .Experience in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations .Prior experience with EMR systems (Cerner preferred).Strong communication and leadership skills.Interest in medical education or training support (preferred but not required).Benefits
