RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Own and manage all preconstruction, construction, and turnover / post-construction activities for assigned projects, ensuring the highest quality of work, unwavering integrity, and full adherence to company standards and requirements.
- Monitor projects to ensure on-time delivery, enforcing strong project management discipline to support efficient and timely execution.
- Own relationships and lead, supervise, and / or coordinate third-party architects, vendors, engineers, consultants, general contractors, and municipal authorities to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Control capital costs by reviewing bids, negotiating pricing, and identifying efficiencies to meet budget and schedule expectations without compromising quality.
- Collaborate and provide input, as needed, on design, development, scheduling, purchasing, budgeting, safety, and compliance across all construction projects and their architectural, equipment, signage, licensing, engineering, and design components.
- Provide direction and input on architectural renderings, test fits, schematic designs, marketing materials, and construction documents in partnership with the internal design and brand teams.
- Conduct site visits as needed to verify compliance, proactively resolve issues, evaluate vendor and contractor performance, and ensure accurate construction status reporting.
- Identify and mitigate risks and challenges associated with construction projects, implementing effective strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all back-of-house, kitchen, and storage requirements are incorporated into new builds, while monitoring ongoing operational needs across existing restaurants.
- Ensure all completed projects fulfill final punch list items and take necessary actions to obtain certificates of occupancy where required.
- Partner with the internal team to manage procurement, inventory, logistics, and deployment of owner-provided décor and FF&E for new restaurant openings.
- Support and / or conduct site due diligence, review work letters, and assist with lease negotiations in collaboration with the real estate team.
- Represent the brand and department in a polished, professional manner—internally and externally—while maintaining alignment with the brand's message, standards, and quality control expectations.
REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries.Proven track record overseeing multiple ground-up builds, remodels, or tenant improvement projects simultaneously.Deep understanding of construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, and permitting.Familiarity with architectural plans, MEP systems, kitchen layouts, and back-of-house construction.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage external vendors, general contractors, architects, and engineers while collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams (Design, Operations, Real Estate, Legal).Willingness to travel frequently to job sites, including out-of-state locations, up to 60–70% of the time.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Strong attention to detail, quality control, and problem-solving under pressure.BENEFITS :
