Salary : Starting at $17.00 / Hr.

JOB PURPOSE

Provides direct care and support to individuals attending the day program, promoting skill development, independence, and engagement in structured activities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, eating, and mobility, while encouraging independence.
• Engage individuals in structured activities that promote socialization, cognitive development, and motor skills.
• Provide direct supervision and ensure safety while participating in program activities, field trips, and community outings.
• Assist individuals in vocational tasks and job-readiness training, supporting skill-building opportunities.
• Follow and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and behavioral support strategies to provide personalized care.
• Monitor and document individuals' progress, behavior, and participation in program activities.
• Assist in meal preparation, dietary accommodations, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment, including setting up and cleaning activity spaces.
• Attend training and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices, policies, and safety procedures.
