Civil Engineer Intern

Legacy Engineering, P.C., is a small, woman-owned civil engineering firm specializing in land development design, geotechnical services, construction materials testing and inspections along with surveying and consulting. We are headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia and proudly serve clients throughout the Commonwealth

Legacy Engineering is seeking to hire a Civil Engineering Intern. We are looking for a self-starter and problem-solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. In this position, you will assist with our multidisciplinary team in CAD, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Planning and Environmental Services. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic professional who is interested in growth on a professional and personal level. Internship will be in Summer 2026

Responsibilities :

• Responsibilities include CAD drafting, design calculations, project documentation, assist in developing engineer's estimates, and other entry-level engineering duties as needed to support projects in Virginia
• Assist with project planning and organization
• Attend client meetings to learn about client communication in a professional setting
