Position Summary

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Solar Equipment Engineer! In this crucial role, you'll ensure the seamless operation of our machinery and equipment by performing preventive maintenance, optimizing throughput, troubleshooting issues, and repairing and upgrading equipment. Your expertise will help maintain the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our manufacturing processes, contributing significantly to our overall productivity and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold all company safety protocols.
  • Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair all solar-module manufacturing equipment in the facility.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis, devise solutions, implement improvements, and establish effective prevention measures for equipment issues.
  • Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other KPIs.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, failures, downtime, and corrective actions to build a Lessons Learned database.
  • Procure spare / replacement parts, track requests, and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Participate in planning, purchasing, installing, and commissioning new equipment, including assessing facility requirements.
  • Develop and manage the Preventive Maintenance Program, ensuring timely completion of checks.
  • Train and guide junior technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments as needed.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design principles and servo controls.
  • Experience with CAD drawings and programming software.
  • Strong experience with automated solar manufacturing equipment (e.g., welding machines, laminators, stringers, busbar machines, cutting machines).
  • Responsibility, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field

    Experience

    3+ years in equipment maintenance in high-speed manufacturing environments
