Overview

Smyth + The Loyalist is seeking a Front Waiter. Responsibilities include having in-depth knowledge of dishes, preparation methods, and ingredients, assisting the expeditor, keeping the service team abreast of dish changes, and conveying John & Karen's vision through food. Exceptional wine knowledge is also required. These roles are highly guest-facing, and grace under pressure is a key characteristic to success. Smyth features a tasting menu with locally-grown ingredients from partners in the Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan areas. Our beverage offerings are wine-driven with three pairing options available. We are open Tuesday through Saturday and full-time availability is needed for these roles. We seek candidates with a passion for knowledge & growth and a genuine interest in the art of hospitality. While at least one year of experience is preferred, curiosity and a passion for the industry are valued.
