Additional Information

  • Fine wine experience desired; WSET or SOMM Level 2 preferred.
  • Industry experience in restaurants, distribution, or supplier roles preferred.
  • Must drive own vehicle.
  • Position covers both On / Off Premise accounts.

Overview

The Sales Consultant represents Southern Glazer's, building trust-based relationships with customers and suppliers. The primary focus is consultative selling that increases revenue and delivers value to all stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust.
  • Discover and identify customer business growth needs.
  • Develop a customer growth plan and build a pipeline of selling opportunities.
  • Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives.
  • Pre-plan account visits with agenda, service purpose, and documented opportunities in CRM.
  • Prioritize sales activities to achieve objectives based on each customer's growth plan.
  • Visit accounts regularly, capture notes, and build visit plans in CRM.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and present them accurately.
  • Propose solutions and close sales using consultative skills.
  • Achieve internal SGWS and supplier objectives as prioritized by management.
  • Manage customer issue resolution and support business growth with guidance.
  • Adapt selling approach to each customer's buying style and needs.
  • Stay current on competitor offerings and SGWS positioning.
  • Document and maintain account-specific information in CRM.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and supplier events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years or older.

  • Proficient with SGWS technology and mobile devices (iPad, smartphone).
  • Consistently achieve results, even under pressure.

  • Team player, collaborates effectively.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and maintain auto liability insurance compliant with SGWS.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Able to travel as needed.
  • Physical Demands

  • Prolonged sitting, typing, and use of computer or mobile device.
  • Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Driving throughout the day, up to 2 hours per segment.
  • Possible lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs.
