Local Contract Director - Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) - $55-57 per hour

Talent4Health is seeking a local contract Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Director for a local contract job in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in high-complexity testing in a CAP / CLIA-regulated lab Minimum 6 years of total clinical lab experience , with 3 years in a supervisory / leadership role ASCP certification (or equivalent) — Required Demonstrated experience managing large budgets Prior experience as an Administrative Lab Director in a hospital setting, preferably within a multi-hospital system Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills Key Responsibilities : Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory across multiple hospital sites Directly manage and support a team of approximately 65 staff Ensure compliance with CAP and CLIA standards Lead departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and process improvement Collaborate with hospital executives and C-suite leadership Maintain high standards for patient safety, test accuracy, and turnaround times Position Type : Full-time (Contract-to-Hire) Work Mode : Fully On-Site Local Candidates Only : Yes (Due to the potential FTE conversion) About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
