RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule requirement
• Holiday requirements apply
• 2 : 1 patient ratio in 26-bed Medical ICU unit
• Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients
• ICU experience required
• Float to other Medical-Surgical Units and Intensive Care Units as needed
• Work with ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and glucometers
• Use iMobile phones and technology throughout facility
• PPE requirements include masks, face shields, goggles, PAPRs and hoods for COVID-19 patients
• Document using Meditech with EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)
• Perform hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and complete My Care Board during handoffs
• Use AIDET approach with focus on compassionate connected care
• Advanced skills needed : ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, cardiac / neuro / respiratory system proficiency
• Procedures performed : intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain management, IABP management, CRRT, patient proning
• Required certifications : ACLS and BLS (TNCC preferred)
• Dress code : Ceil blue scrubs with optional white or ceil blue scrub jacket; green surgery scrubs provided for COVID patients
• Self-scheduling available within established guidelines
