Position Summary

Dominican is seeking an experienced individual to serve as course instructor for graduate-level occupational therapy courses. Course instruction will be dictated by the course that is taught. Adjunct faculty work part-time with cohorts of up to 32 students. Adjunct faculty at Dominican are members of SEIU.

Responsibilities

• Teach (course at Graduate level)
• Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
• Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
• Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
• Perform other course related duties as assigned
• Positions possible in the following domains : fundamentals of OT, physical rehabilitation, psychosocial, pediatrics, program development, education, and leadership and management. (Teaching domain determined by course)

Adjunct Compensation

Adjunct Faculty members are employed in a professional capacity at the University. For courses, including service-learning courses and laboratories, the University compensates Adjunct Faculty Members on a per-unit basis for Course-Related Work as set forth in Article 15 of the CBA. All other duties or work performed on behalf of the University as an Adjunct Faculty Member are compensated in accordance with Article 12 - Faculty Development or Article 16 - Special Compensation . Adjunct Faculty Members who teach on a per-unit basis shall receive compensation per unit for assignments as an instructor for a credit-bearing course or laboratory. Movement through the step system shall be based on total number of Dominican Points and satisfactory performance, as set forth in Article 13, Performance Evaluation .
