Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project Coordinator
The City of Beaverton is hiring a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project Coordinator to lead the administration of CDBG funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Duties include implementation and oversight of grant-funded projects, oversight of grant recipients, and development of policies and planning documents to support grant compliance. The CDBG Project Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, nonprofit partners, and other public agencies, using the community's evolving needs and a commitment to excellent customer service as guiding principles to further affordable housing goals for Beaverton.

This is a full-time, non exempt, SEIU-classified position. This role will be eligible for hybrid work following the successful completion of probation. Occasional evening or weekend work will be required to attend meetings or community events. There is one vacancy.
Responsibilities include overseeing administration of the CDBG program, drafting strategic plans, monitoring subrecipients, developing and monitoring budgets, writing and proofreading content for communication materials, designing communication materials for community outreach, giving presentations or developing talking points for managers, and contributing to the promotion of organizational values.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in public administration, business, social sciences, or a related field, and four years of experience coordinating community development, real estate, urban renewal, economic development, or housing projects and programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions of the position. Ability to pass reference checks and education verification, and satisfy the requirements of a background check.
