Operations Manager

The Operations Manager for the Delta One Lounge at JFK will oversee the seamless execution of service across all front-of-house areas, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that reflects both Delta's and Restaurant Associates' standards of luxury hospitality. This role requires a hands-on leader with refined service expertise, operational acumen, and the ability to manage and inspire a high-performing team in a fast-paced, premium lounge environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and develop all front-of-house associates, ensuring flawless fine dining service and hospitality standards.
  • Oversee daily operations across restaurant, bar, and market-style outlets, ensuring all guest touchpoints reflect the Delta One brand experience.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative functions to ensure efficient labor and cost controls.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and service briefings to align staff on VIPs, flight schedules, and special events.
  • Coordinate with culinary, beverage, and housekeeping teams to ensure consistent quality and service flow.
  • Manage all reservation and seating systems to maximize capacity and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all FOH areas maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
  • Uphold and reinforce all health, safety, and security standards within an airport environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
  • 58 years of upscale dining or hotel management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop service-focused teams.
  • Strong operational and financial skills, including labor management and inventory control.
  • Proficiency with POS, payroll, and reservation systems; Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and guest engagement skills.
  • Professional demeanor, polished appearance, and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Experience working within airport or travel lounge environments preferred.
