We are seeking a full-time Credentialing Specialist responsible for managing provider credentialing processes, including application handling, data entry, record maintenance, and communication with providers to ensure completeness and accuracy of credentials.
Monday-Friday in the office. Flexible schedule of working four 9-hour shifts and one half-day or five 8-hour shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sends, receives, analyzes, and completes provider applications for credentialing and re-credentialing process.
- Verifies completeness of applications and submission of documents.
- Performs accurate data entry of credentialing information into designated databases and systems.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of credentialing activities.
- Monitors expiring licensure, board and professional liability insurance certifications, and other expiable documents.
- Communicates with providers and provider contacts to obtain necessary credentialing information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's Degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school is preferredExperience in healthcare or credentialing is preferredFamiliarity with Symplr credentialing software is a plusSuccessful Credentialing Specialists demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, excellent grammatical and written communication, apply their interpersonal skills working as a team or independently, and have a self-starter mentality.Knowledge of medical terminology is helpfulComputer proficiency with MS Office is preferredBENEFITS AND PERKS!
