Compass Connections—formerly BCFS (Baptist Child and Family Services) and now part of the First Day Foundation—provides shelter, residential care, foster care, adoption, and community-based support services to vulnerable children and families nationwide. This mission-driven organization seeks a Digital Archivist to maintain a secure digital archiving system, support the storage, retrieval, and processing of sensitive records and images, and uphold confidentiality and regulatory standards.
Position Summary
The Digital Archivist is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive digital archiving system that supports the secure storage, retrieval, and processing of sensitive records and images. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and technical proficiency in digital file management. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and committed to upholding the ethical standards and regulatory requirements of Compass Connections. Key Things to Know
- Salary : $18.29 hourly (bi-weekly pay)
- Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- Travel : Minimal; may include occasional local errands or supply pickups

Qualifications
Must be fluent in Spanish and English (spoken, read, and written)High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)Minimum two (2) years of related experience and / or training (four (4) years preferred)Must pass background checks and health screeningsExperience working in environments serving children or vulnerable populations is preferredKey Responsibilities
Maintain a comprehensive digital archiving system and retrieve information as directedReceive, track, and respond to high-volume inquiries and requests for stored recordsProcess raw images using appropriate software toolsCompile, prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, and statisticsEnsure all documentation meets agency, licensing, and contract standardsParticipate in scheduled meetings, in-service training, and team decisionsCommunicate professionally with staff, vendors, and external agenciesMeet all deadlines required by the program supervisor and federal partnersMaintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operationsUphold Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conductOther duties as assignedCore Competencies
