Experienced NICU Registered Nurse RN

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an EXPERIENCED NICU Registered Nurse to join our team!\n\nIdeal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a RN in the NICU\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION : \n\n1. Provide care for infants immediately after birth.\n\n2. Oversee the care of infant patients in the NICU.\n\n3. Troubleshoot and maintain NICU equipment.\n\n4. Consult with parents / guardians on aftercare and long-term health management for infants.\n\n5. Educate new parents on basic infant care including breastfeeding, hygiene and safety.\n\n6. Perform tests ordered by the obstetrician or nurse practitioner and evaluate the result.\n\nSPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : \n\n1. Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.\n\n2. Ability to perform vital signs, initial admission, head-to-toe assessments on preterm, term, and post-term sick infants.\n\n3. Able to offer family centered care.\n\n4. Ability to operate a variety of equipment related to infant support and care in the NICU. Ex : respiratory management, chest tubes, central lines, cooling, etc.\n\n5.
