About The Position

Must-Have :

RNs must be able to titrate drips.

Experience with titratable and / or set-rate drips such as Oxytocin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate.

Ability to work as Charge RN and House Supervisor.

Experience with various patient types including inductions, epidurals, walk-in labors, natural labors, water births, circulating in OB OR, and postpartum care.

Familiarity with high-risk antepartum patients and women’s surgical cases.

Description :

The position requires passing a skills exam during orientation.

Candidates must achieve a passing score to continue in the role.

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments.

Refusal to comply may result in termination.

Candidates must have a driver’s license for verification purposes.

The unit includes 11 Labor & Delivery beds and 32 postpartum beds.

Up to 1,350 births are managed per year.

Ratios follow established guidelines.

Staff includes surgical technicians and student nurse interns.

OB hospitalists and neonatal nurse practitioners are available 24 / 7.

Telemetry services are available as needed, monitored by central techs.

The shift schedule is from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM.

There is a weekend requirement, with every third weekend expected.

Holiday coverage is also required, rotating every third holiday.

Staff may be placed on call and must be available within 30 minutes if needed.

This position may involve floating between Labor & Delivery and postpartum, with occasional tasks in the NICU.

Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs or provided hospital scrubs.

The organization maintains a cancellation policy for shifts.

The charting system in use is EPIC.
