Part Time. Cobble Hill Health Center is a not-for-profit long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly for over 40 years. The Food Service Manager plays an integral role in helping us to achieve our vision : to consistently exceed expectations and set the standard for excellence in residential and community care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations and meal preps in accordance with the planned menu and standardized recipes.
• Delegate responsibilities to the cook and cook's helper regarding meal preparation.
• Consult with the Chef, Director, and others on the team to ensure proper tasks are completed for food preparation, resident requests, accuracy of tray items, compliance with medical diagnoses, and menu changes.
• Test prepared food for temperature, appearance, and palatability.
• Attend and participate in managers' meetings.
• Facilitate in-service trainings.
• Collect and record relevant data, such as temperatures and equipment checks.
• Ensure the team follows safety regulations and maintains clean storage areas; use proper food handling equipment techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Food Service Director to ensure proper care of residents and efficient operation of the department.
• Assume responsibility and accountability in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.

Shift and Hours

Shift : Part Time (2-3 days weekly). Hours : 4am-12pm + rotating weekends.

Salary

Salary : $34.00 - $35.00 per year
