We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting vendor management and accounts payable processes within a fast-paced financial services environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with strong organizational skills and a background in accounting to contribute to a dynamic project.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in managing vendor files and implementing updates within the accounts payable system.
• Maintain and organize detailed spreadsheets to track agreements and system entries accurately.
• Verify invoices to ensure they are accurate and compliant with company policies.
• Communicate regularly with a large network of vendors, facilitating progress meetings using Teams.
• Monitor and report on project status, providing updates to the Accounts Payable Manager.
• Utilize Great Plains accounting software to process and track transactions effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of accounts payable tasks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor or invoice information promptly.
• Provide technical and administrative support to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
