Medical A / R Specialist

Location Dallas–Fort Worth, TX | Remote (Must Reside in DFW Area)

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

$22.50–$26 / hr based on experience
Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM CST
1099 Independent Contractor
Start : ASAP

ROLE IMPACT

Join a high-performing RCM team supporting claim throughput and reimbursement across a high-volume, specialty surgical network. This dual-role position drives financial outcomes through efficient AR follow-up and accurate insurance verification, impacting both patient experience and revenue recognition. Success is measured by clean claim rates, timely denials resolution, and payor-specific turnaround times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily AR functions including denial resolution, claim refiling, and follow-up workflows

Validate insurance benefits across multiple payors, portals, and plan types

Maintain >

35 claim transactions / day through internal dashboards and trackers

Monitor invoicing and collections performance against departmental benchmarks

Coordinate daily with RCM peers via Microsoft Teams and scheduled standups

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years’ experience in medical AR, billing, or payor benefits verification

Proficient in claim lifecycle management and EOB interpretation

Strong Excel, Google Sheets, and Word competency

Self-motivated and reliable in fully remote, metric-driven environments

Prior exposure to specialty or surgical claims (spine, neuro, intraoperative)
