MVP Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing and Electric is seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential properties, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls and diagnose plumbing issues in residential settings
- Repair and replace pipes, fixtures, and appliances including sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters
- Install new plumbing systems and fixtures in existing homes
- Unclog and clean drains using various tools and techniques
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems
- Use pipe cutters, reamers, and threading machines to shape pipes as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications
- Ensure all work complies with local and state plumbing codes
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and installations
- Educate homeowners on proper use and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with other trades (e.g., HVAC technicians, electricians) when necessary
- Respond to emergency calls, including after-hours if required
Qualifications
Valid plumbing license in the state of operation preferred3+ years of experience in residential plumbing service and repairStrong knowledge of local and state plumbing codesProficiency in using various plumbing tools and diagnostic equipmentFamiliarity with different types of plumbing systems and water heating technologiesBasic understanding of electrical systems related to plumbingAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spacesComfortable working at heights and in various weather conditionsEducation
