Position Summary :
Xformative is looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to d eliver secure, highly available issuer payment processing capability that meets PCI DSS 4.0, SOC 2, and payment network requirements. This person will also lead the day-to-day software-development life-cycle while advising on long-term architectural and product strategy

What You'll Do
Own full SDLC (plan-build-release-operate) in an Agile / DevSecOps model
- Achieve uptime, latency, and error-budget Service Level Objectives; maintain runbooks and on-call rotations
- Drive estimation accuracy, cycle-time reduction, automated unit / integration / security testing
- Design and review cloud-native (AWS) micro-services, RESTful APIs, and IaC (Terraform / CDK)
- Embed compliance controls and secure-coding standards; schedule regular penetration testing and dependency-scanning
- Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage a remote, distributed team; create career paths and succession plans
- Act as technical liaison to Product, Operations, Security, external vendors, and auditors
- Forecast and manage staffing, tooling, consulting, and influence AWS infrastructure budgets
- Operate within Xformative's guidelines pursuant to the Employee Handbook and all Policies and Procedures
- Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisor and / or Management
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience10 + years professional software-engineering experience, including 5 + years in a leadership role overseeing remote or distributed Agile teamsTrack record delivering payment-processing and transaction-heavy platforms; card-issuance, payment-gateway, and fintech core-banking background strongly preferredExperience guiding products through PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or comparable compliance frameworks in a regulated industryHighly preferred experience in a venture-funded environment, with demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and rapid scaleCertifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro or Scrum Master are advantageous but not requiredProven expertise in cloud-native architecture, CI / CD, observability, and performance engineeringDemonstrated leadership of distributed Agile teams; strong coaching and communication skillsDeep understanding of secure SDLC, zero-trust APIs, and regulatory compliance frameworksAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects and accurately forecast resources and budgetsCommitment to psychological safety and continuous improvement.Corporate Core Competencies :
