Peer Counselor - Parent Partner (FBH Cert Peer Cnslr I) role at Catholic Community Services. Internal title : FBH Certified Peer Counselor I. Location : Olympia, WA and surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate, provide support and help facilitate services for youth and their families receiving Family Behavioral Health Services.
- Work as a member of a team to help a parent voice their perspective and ensure other team members understand and use that perspective in treatment planning.
- Help youth, parents and families achieve confidence in their ability to team on a recovery journey and maintain hope after formal behavioral health services are completed.
- Based out of FBH Shelton office; services provided in community-based settings and in family homes; scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of youth and families served.

Starting Pay Range : $25.18 - $27.07 per hourAdditional Pay : Availability pay for after-hours coverage : $75.00 per pay period (2 times per month); potential to earn additional pay based on performanceTraining and Supervision : Extensive training (e.g., WISe, De-Escalation); daily supervision and support as neededBenefits : 12 paid holidays plus 1 personal holiday per year; 3 weeks of vacation per year; 12 sick days per year; Medical; Dental; Vision Insurance; Life Insurance (1 times annual salary); Retirement Plans : 403-B Employee Savings Plan and Employer Contribution PensionQualifications
High school diploma or equivalentAge 21 or olderPersonal lived experience as a parent of a child who has received community / mental health services within the past ten yearsAbility to drive to family homes within the community with reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record per CCS policyAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamAbility to visually assess safety within family homes and in the communityAvailability to flex some work hoursDemonstrate culturally competent service delivery and the ability to work effectively in multi-cultural situationsSuccessfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employmentSupport and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community ServicesIf you are passionate about providing strength-based mental health services for children, youth and their families, we would love to hear from you!
