Environmental Data Analytics Discipline Leader

Overview

Environmental Data Analytics Discipline Leader responsible for leveraging data analytics to enhance environmental services capabilities. Collaborates with CDM Smith's digital teams and across multiple technical practice areas to support marketing and business development in environmental data analytics. Works with discipline leaders, SMEs, and the environmental data analytics group to gather ideas, assess needs, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver environmental services. Develops processes for evaluating ideas and initiatives for potential innovation investment and analytics tool / technology development.

Responsibilities

• Assist CDM Smith's Digital teams in evaluating available data analytics technologies and platforms to analyze environmental data across applications (e.g., water quality assessments, remedial investigations, remedial actions, and operations and maintenance of treatment systems).
• Collaborate with sales teams and with CDM Smith's digital subsidiary, Trinnex (as applicable), on technical sales, design, and delivery of environmental data analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with local, national, and international technical teams.
• Work across multiple technical practice areas to leverage research and development activities, expanding and enhancing the firm's environmental analytics capabilities.
• Support marketing and business development initiatives related to environmental data analytics.
• Collaborate and compile ideas with discipline leaders, SMEs, and the environmental data analytics group to gather ideas and assess needs for innovation.
• Coordinate efforts with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, designers, draftsmen, and technicians to deliver effective environmental solutions to clients.
• Establish processes to evaluate ideas and initiatives for potential innovation investment to develop analytics tools and technologies.
• Manage IP and R&D investments by reviewing ideas, identifying IP for protection, prioritizing investments, and aligning with the firm's IP protection, innovation, and digital investment processes.
• Grow environmental data analytics practitioners who can provide environmental services for a variety of clients.
• Navigate the competitive landscape to keep CDM Smith at the forefront of environmental data analytics in the environmental sector.
• Market engagement : identify conferences, working groups, and activities to enhance technical visibility and promote capabilities to clients.
• Track business opportunities and client relationships for environmental data analytics services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and / or international travel may be required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pay Range : Minimum $90,605 – Maximum $158,579

Additional Compensation : All bonuses are discretionary.
