LHH is actively seeking an Intake Coordinator for one of our top clients in Colorado! This will be a contract to hire opportunity with our client and will be onsite in Centennial.

Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and referral sources, ensuring a smooth and compassionate intake experience. This role is responsible for coordinating referrals, verifying insurance coverage, and facilitating admissions efficiently and accurately. Working closely with sales, pharmacy, and access operations teams, the Intake Coordinator ensures all patient information is properly documented and communicated to support timely care delivery.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a calm, empathetic approach when working with patients and healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and process referrals received from physicians, hospitals, and other referral sources in a timely and accurate manner.

Review and verify that all necessary documentation is received and complete before processing each referral.

Enter patient demographic, clinical, and insurance information into the system accurately.

Ensure insurance verification is completed and patients are informed of financial responsibility prior to initiating service or shipment.

Communicate insurance coverage details and out-of-pocket costs to patients and caregivers with professionalism and empathy.

Collaborate with sales, access, and clinical teams to confirm referral status, authorization needs, and payment requirements.

Maintain thorough documentation of all activities and progress notes in the system.

Protect patient confidentiality and maintain compliance with privacy and data protection standards.

Contribute to a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in healthcare intake, admissions, insurance verification, or customer service preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners.

Proficiency in computer systems and data entry; experience with electronic health records (EHR) or pharmacy systems is a plus.

Pay Details : $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
