Preferred background in farm machinery over auto industry; lean manufacturing experience; MS 365 proficiency. Required : MS365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.). Desirable : Power BI, Power Automate, Visio, MS Access. Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma; ability to evaluate processes and provide technical solutions. Strong communication skills; ability to train and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Creativity, verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Team player and detail-oriented; capable of critical thinking and leveraging innovative ideas. Pay Rate : $42 to $46 per hour on W2

Position Description
Manufacturing Engineer will function as a specialist within the Peoria Proving Ground ecosystem. Work assignments may be specialized or broad-based with coordination between staff to complete projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform Safety Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (SFMEA) for existing and new shop processes.
- Develop detailed work instructions for existing and improved shop processes.
- Train new experimental mechanics and develop training programs to ensure functional expertise.
- Engage in problem solving to address operational issues including ergonomic / safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, and quality concerns.
- Work with operations leaders and machine engineers to develop and manage projects that ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes.
- Provide manufacturing technical support in process control and safety.
- Coordinate the purchase and application of machine tools, controls and related equipment to increase efficiency and safety.
- Design complex or intricate jigs and fixtures.
- Adhere to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, and ergonomics.
