Position : Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

Location : Bronx, NY

Schedule : Full-Time

About the Opportunity

A large, well-established multispecialty group with locations throughout the Greater NYC area is seeking a board eligible or board certified Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join its growing specialty care team in the Bronx .

This permanent role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The position focuses on providing comprehensive GI care, including management of chronic gastrointestinal conditions, follow-up care, and patient education.

New graduates with a strong interest in gastroenterology are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient clinical care for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions

Conduct evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans

Perform follow-up visits and monitor patients with chronic GI disorders

Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies

Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, other APPs, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document all patient encounters accurately in EMR

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care

Qualifications

Active or eligible New York State Nurse Practitioner license

Board eligible or board certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP with interest / experience in Gastroenterology)

Prior experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred (new grads with strong GI interest considered)

Strong clinical judgment, ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not required
