This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Equipment Operator Trainee (EOT) or Equipment Operator (EO) within our Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group, located at the Poplar Island facility near Tilghman Island, Maryland. Primary responsibilities include operating off-road dump trucks, dozers, excavators, other heavy equipment, pumps, boat operation, and spillway discharge operations. Training will be provided as needed. This position may occasionally require evening and weekend work, as well as temporary assignments to other MES-operated facilities. Assignment requires travel on a crew boat to and from the work site. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Estimated Pay Range :

EO Trainee : $41,515.16 to $45,500

EO : $45,666.23 to $50,000

Minimum Requirements :

Graduation from a standard high school or GED, ability to pass a standard physical examination, ability to lift 50 pounds, and possession of a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Additional requirements include :
