Position Description : Forefront Living is looking for a Security Officer at the community in Coppell, TX. Our mission is to come together and make each moment matter for those we serve. As a Security Officer, professional who watches over surveillance cameras, guards the inside and outside of buildings, and ensures people and valuables on the property are safe and out of harm's way.RESPONSIBILITIES : \tModels a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, and co-workers.
\tEnsure resident / patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards.
\tMaintain good attendance record.
\tPatrol grounds to ensure no one is on the property without permission.
\tStays in contact with receptionist and other personnel to ensure safety of property.
\tReacts to 911 calls to meet ambulance or fire department at the front gate and escort them to the appropriate building.
\tAssists residents who need special care to navigate the property.
\tOther duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : \tHigh school diploma or equivalent; At least 2 years previous Security / Law Enforcement experience and supervisory experience required.

\tMust be at least 21 years of age.
\tGood working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
\tGenuine caring for and interest in the care of seniors, including those with cognitive deficits.
\tAbility to read, write and effectively communicate in English
\tAbility to work independently
\tAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff, residents, and the public.

\tAbility to perform Essential Duties\tGenuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice patients
\tAbility to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
\tAbility to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
\tAbility to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures.
WORK CLIMATE :
\tPrimarily inside climate-controlled building
WORK PACE :
\tSelf-paced, requiring the ability to work quickly and accurately in an often-times fast-paced work area
