Role Summary :
The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting testing procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role provides administrative and technical support to the department including investigation and disposition of defective parts, creation and maintenance of standard defect lists, and part measurement and testing.

Accountable for :
Read QC specifications to ascertain acceptable part specificationsCheck parts to make sure they meet customers' specificationsPerform specified tests on parts including visual inspection and physical testing using various measuring instrumentsEvaluate data and issues reports for deviations from existing standardsEnsure measuring equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipmentMonitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard methodsUse standard measuring and testing instruments, functional gauges, and other tools as requiredDistribute check sheets, gauges, plugs, and fixtures for technician inspectionCommunicate customer requirements, sampling procedures, and tests to techs and inspector packersFollow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safetyUse computer programs to measure and check partsUse CMM, vision systems, etc. to measure and check partsUnderstand and follow ISO requirementsDesired Qualifications :
High School education or equivalentSolid math skills1-2 years prior experience in a quality inspection roleCertification from ASQ preferredSuperior eye for detail and slight deviations from in-house quality standardsExperience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing / inspection.Desire for continual learning and personal developmentStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are essential.Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behaviorKeeps commitments; exhibits candor and courage - is not afraid to establish a visible presence and point of view, to engage in spirited and constructive debate, to hold others accountable.Proficient in English.Physical Demands :
