Residential Construction Estimator
Location : Houston, Texas (West Houston)
Our client, a well-established residential construction company , is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of building systems and materials, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects from conceptual through final design
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure estimate accuracy
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing and scope alignment
- Maintain up-to-date cost databases and historical records of estimates
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and value-engineering initiatives
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project standards
