Credentialing Timeframe : days

Shift Details :

  • Day Shift : 8am 5pm
  • Call : 24-hour call (ends at 8am the following morning)
  • Type : PRN scheduled as needed

Practice Overview

Highland Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center , is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist for PRN coverage. This role involves both scheduled daytime procedures and 24-hour call coverage, with a strong emphasis on trauma-related IR experience.

Clinical Details

  • Daytime Procedures : 5 6 per day
  • Call Expectations :

    • Weekday call-back : 1x / week

  • Weekend call-back : 2x / weekend
  • Procedures Include :

    • Biopsies

  • Drainages
  • Tunneled access
  • Hemorrhage control (trauma)
  • Emergency GI, Gyn, and Urology IR procedures
  • Support Staff : Full team of RNs and techs during the day; occasional second IR on site
  • EMR : Epic

    • Requirements

  • Board Certification : BE / BC in Interventional Radiology
  • Licensure : Active California Medical License
  • Experience :

    • Minimum 3 years post-training IR experience

  • Must be comfortable managing trauma center IR cases
  • Recent trauma IR experience required
