Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington nursing jobs

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

Telemetry competency required

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills

Experience with chest tubes, lumbar drains, tracheostomies, and IV medication titration (Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, non-DKA insulin, heparin, Cardene)

Excellent communication and patient education skills

First-time travel nurses are welcome!

PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality clinical care to PCU, ED holding, and float pool patients with diverse diagnoses (respiratory compromise, sepsis, renal failure, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, post-surgical)

Float between Medical / Surgical, ICU, and Rehab units as needed

Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4 in PCU; adjust for other units

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (techs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists)

Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Assist with patient transport throughout the hospital

Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in a fast-paced clinical environment

Complete required orientation and ongoing nursing training
