Pay rate : $30.60 Per Hour
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 - Must not have worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last 6 months to qualify.

Position Purpose :
As a driver in our food and food service delivery team, your role is crucial in ensuring that products are delivered on time and in excellent condition. You will interact with customers, establishing strong relationships as you contribute to the food supply chain by delivering goods safely and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities :
Professionally communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers, addressing inquiries accurately and promptly.
Collaborate as a team member within the company, performing assigned duties to best serve our goals.
Conduct all mandatory safety checks, including pre / post trip inspections, per Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
Report any safety concerns or necessary repairs swiftly.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding safe driving practices.
Thoroughly inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
Verify and report inventory counts and customer invoices for accuracy.
Accurate completion of paperwork associated with freight.
Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a set delivery schedule.
Unload products at customer locations, transporting them to designated storage areas.
Perform damage inspections on items and report discrepancies to supervisors.
Obtain customer signatures to confirm delivery.
Collect payments (cash or checks) when necessary.
Ensure that all equipment and freight are securely locked and maintained.
Unload damaged goods and customer returns, completing any necessary paperwork.
Maintain accurate records of hours of service per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers as required.
Secure all equipment at the end of shifts and finalize necessary documentation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
