Our client is a Special Inspection Agency in New York City that provides reliable, responsive and service solutions to our customers. We are staffed by qualified professional engineers whose primary focus is on life safety, construction quality oversight and regulatory compliance. PTS provides Special Inspection services specifically geared toward the New York City Construction Industry. Our Inspectors are qualified to perform over a full range of inspections to meet our client and project needs. The services we provide are subdivided into the following disciplines : Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Fire Protection and Energy Code.

We are currently seeking a full time Inspector with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our growing staff. The ideal candidate shall be ambitious and highly motivated with an interest in developing and implementing procedures and standards for special inspections.

Job Description And Responsibilities

• Conduct various types of inspections and testing as per the Codes and Regulation set forth by the NYC Department of Buildings
• Observe / document field construction for compliance with approved drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes
• Responsible for maintaining current and accurate daily field logs
• Prepare detailed inspection reports following all field visits and issue in a timely manner
• Manage the timely preparation, review and issuance of Field Reports from all Associate Inspectors
• Work under the direct supervision of Professional Engineers
