Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An engaging opportunity exists for professionals specializing in education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This position is based in Fort Benning, GA, within an early childhood school setting, and is designed for the uping school year.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Education, specializing in Deaf / Hard of Hearing
  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf / Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood setting
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other munication methods
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities :

  • Create and maintain a supportive learning environment for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust IEP goals as needed
  • Engage students through interactive and developmentally appropriate activities
  • municate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
