Basic Functions and Responsibilities :

Under general supervision, provide safety and security for students, college personnel, visitors, buildings, and grounds. The officer must be able to work all shifts at both the Des Plaines and Skokie campuses. Must have working knowledge of criminal laws, traffic laws, and college policies and procedures. Be able to exercise independent judgment in response to unusual events. Familiarize with buildings, facilities, and fire-related equipment. Develop knowledge of radio communication and emergency procedures.
