We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across custom software development projects. This position will collaborate with software engineers, business analysts and other testing analysts to design, implement and execute comprehensive testing strategies that ensure high-quality, scalable and secure solutions. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to :

  • Define and lead QA processes and standards across projects.
  • Interpret complex business and functional requirements to develop detailed test plans, comprehensive test cases, leveraging deep understanding of the application's functionality.
  • Ensure alignment of QA efforts with business and detailed requirements.
  • Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, data, and security testing.
  • Ensure test coverage and traceability to requirements.
  • Track and report on software quality metrics
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
  • Maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
  • Influence cross-team decisions and share best practices.
  • Communicate QA status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testability and QA processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging tools.

The qualifications.

  • 6+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer specifically in custom development solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in automated testing and automated testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of availability and performance testing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries with the ability to define and execute SQL queries to enhance the data validation processes.
  • Experience working with Azure Dev Ops or similar tool.
  • Experience working with GitHub for collaboration and issue tracking.
  • Knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools.
  • Experience with one scripting language.
  • Experience driving quality through process, instrumentation, requirements, and testing.
  • This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour workweek.

    We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week.     Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement.     Colorado monthly base range is as follows : $8,041.00 - $12,083.00

    Illinois monthly base range is as follows : $8,291.67 - $12,458.33
