As the City planner, the role will be actively supporting the technical analysis and functions required in building, engineering, zoning, and community development. Perform complex and specialized planning, which may include environmental review, current planning, long-range planning, engineering, and code enforcement work. Work collaboratively with the Community Development Director, other departments, and relevant authorities, such as the Planning Commission and Zoning Boards of Appeals, on land use issues related to public and private development.
Evaluates and makes recommendations on the short-term and long-term goals related to the roads and infrastructure, the City's Master Plan. This position reports to the Director of Public Services / City Engineer.

Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in urban or regional planning, environmental planning, urban design, Transportation Planning / Engineering, or related field, and 4 years of related professional experience.
Preferred Requirements : American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Engineer in Training (EIT)
