Pediatric surgery unit is seeking coverage starting December 31 in Columbia, SC. Schedule : Need December 31-January 6 urgently, then more into 2025 - Coverage needed per month : Weekend call - Frequency of any Call needed : Friday 7am start Monday 7am end Work Details : - Support staff : 1 RN, 2 CMA, 2 front desk staff. - Pediatric specialties available for back up include : NICU, Gastro, Critical Care, Hospitalists, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Adult Surgery. Other back up specialties include : Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Hematology and Oncology, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Pulmonology. - On Fridays, there will be in-town physicians available for questions. - Department Description : Pediatric surgery unit, includes neonatal surgery and ECMO cannulation. Pediatric Trauma for 14 years and under. Locum will need to be comfortable supervising other healthcare providers. - pediatrics, 16 PICU, 78 beds - EMR / Documentation System : EPIC - Special Procedures Required : Arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, needle pneumothorax, decompression, x-ray interpretation, suturing, Paracentesis Requirements : - Board Certifications : Surgery, Pediatrics - State License : SC required - BLS, PALS, DEA, FLU Vaccine (Medical / Religious Exemptions Only)
