Maintenance Worker
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Maintenance Worker. This announcement will remain active until a sufficient number of applications have been received and may close at any time.
Performs a variety of general building and grounds related maintenance and repairs at an assigned facility. Works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements : Requires three (3) months in maintenance or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses Required : Possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License based on area of assignment. Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment. Ability to secure and maintain a valid Seaport Business Purpose Credential for the duration of employment.

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Performs medium to heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, digging, pushing and raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
Involves routine and frequent exposure to toxic / caustic chemicals.
