As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Elgin, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong customer service skills and communication will support positive interactions with employees and visitors. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets as needed. What You'll Do : Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed. Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the food and beverage production location. Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding security-related matters. Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors at the location.

Minimum Requirements : Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
