Proficient with diagnostic tools and service software. Clean and valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus). Ability to lift 20+ lbs. and work in various environments (indoors / outdoors). ASE or OEM certifications (CAT, John Deere, Cummins, etc.) Welding and fabrication skills CDL Class A or B license Familiarity with telematics and computerized diagnostic systems Primarily indoors in a shop setting with occasional outdoor or field work. Exposure to grease, oil, dirt, noise, and heavy machinery. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment / Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel systems, hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems for heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes).
- Conduct preventative maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications and company schedules.
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
- Inspect, test, and operate machinery to verify repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and hours billed.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Collaborate with other technicians and service staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
