About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - ICU

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour Day / Night Rotation

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years in ICU

License : State RN license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred)

Must-Have : ICU training, telemetry monitoring, management of continuous IV medications

Description :

The role involves working in the Intensive Care Unit with responsibilities for monitoring telemetry for acute care patients.

The nurse will perform procedures such as cardioversions and will provide care in the PACU as needed.

The equipment utilized in this role includes EPIC charting, Omnicell, Philips monitors and telemetry, Philips defibrillators, Plum IV pumps, BiPap, and ventilators.

The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1 : 1 or 2 : 1 in the ICU and 1 : 3-5 patients in Med-Surg assignments.

The schedule includes working 2-3 weekends every 6 weeks and every other holiday.

Call is not required for this position.

The nurse may be required to float to other units, including Med-Surg, and utilize skills in Obstetric or Emergency Department settings if applicable.

Dress code includes navy blue scrubs with a pale palette for shirts under scrubs.

The unit consists of 25 beds, providing care for ICU, OB, and Med-Surg patients.
