Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN / LVN or other licensed medical professional. The CNA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.
Local Pay : $30 / hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains patient confidentiality of all clients
- Performs duties within scope of practice, as assigned, in an accurate and timely manner
- Adheres to facility / client policy, procedures and protocols at all times
- Assists doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests being performed in a variety of patient care settings
- Safeguards the client / patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
- Notifies the supervising nurse of any abnormal findings or conditions
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three yearsGraduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standingKnowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functionsComplies with all relevant professional standards of practiceParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsAbility to effectively elicit / provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefits
