The Department of Financial Services is seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Specialist 1 in Human Resources Management. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Leads the New York City new employee onboarding and conducts exit interviews;
• Maintains onboarding and offboarding trackers and provides analysis to Administration and Operations Leadership, as needed;
• Drafts and sends internal notifications for workstation moves and other logistical tasks;
• Coordinates and oversees agency payroll operations;
• Reviews and interprets control agency bulletins;
• Develops, implements, and monitors internal control procedures to ensure the timely submission of accurate payroll documents;
• Prepares payrolls and makes payroll determinations as required;
• Calculates and verifies salary calculations and related factors for agency employees;
• Assists with the management and administration of the Leave and Attendance Tracking System (LATS);
• Provides customer service to agency employees and department managers on onboarding, payroll, and LATS; and
• Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Salary : $56,655 (Trainee 1 Level SG-14) $63,180 (Trainee 2 Level SG-16) $67,119 $83,286 (Journey Level SG-18) Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $4,000 annual downstate adjustment.
