Position Objective : The Field Sales Associate facilitates communication between COPILOT’s operations team and our pharmaceutical partner (client). This role will lead communications, sales support, access education, and real-time interaction with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical client’s sales reps (field team).

Accountability : The incumbent will report to the Program manager with accountability to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions :

  • Respond to assigned incoming inquiries from the Field Sales team regarding Patient Services vendors, program offerings, and services, including Specialty Pharmacies and Copay assistance.
  • Work with current vendors as needed to obtain appropriate responses for Field Sales team.
  • Participate in live training sessions with Sales team on Patient Services.
  • Work with internal and external partners for seamless patient experience in all escalated cases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and / or Director(s) of Operations and Performance.
  • Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas : verbal / written communication, computer / data entry / software proficiency, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, self-discipline, pro-activeness, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school or certificate program in pharmacy and / or healthcare, preferred. High School Diploma or GED, required.

2 years’ experience and strong knowledge base in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales and / or marketing, or a similar industry.

Strong background in managing healthcare provider and patient communications, direct pharmaceutical interaction plus.

Must have the ability to deal with real-time client requests and set expectations accordingly.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus effective presentation skills.

Must be client savvy, knowledgeable of business protocol, time management and possess strong organizational skills.

Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to, “think on their feet,” and suggest alternatives and solutions.

Must have research and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people.

Ability to work well under pressure and handle responsibilities in a time sensitive manner.

Highly adaptable, able to shift gears and focus based on company, client and business needs.

Practice a high level of confidentiality in regards to HIPAA patient confidentiality, client and company information.
